Jessica Alba will lead the cast of the newly-revived Spy Kids franchise. The actress is expected to reunite with her Sin City and Machete director Robert Rodriguez to play a mother of a baby and two pre-teen stepchildren who is reactivated for secret agent duties, The Hollywood Reporter squealed on Tuesday. Lindsay Lohan has been released from rehab after just 22 days according to reports. Lohan, who was originally sentenced to spend 90 days in jail followed by 90 days in UCLA’s drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, signed discharge papers on Tuesday afternoon. She began her stint in rehab on August 2 after an early release from jail. The actress had a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday to discuss the possibility of an expedited release, but lawyers reportedly worked behind the scenes to orchestrate her early exit. Cheryl Hines and her husband, producer-manager Paul Young, have decided to pull the plug on their nearly eight-year marriage. A rep for the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress, 44, confirms that the couple quietly filed for divorce on July 20, E! Online reports. Though no reason for the split was given, the pair are said to be on amicable terms and will share custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Catherine Rose. Funnyman Martin Short is dealing with a tragedy tonight: his wife Nancy Dolman has died. A representative for the grieving actor confirmed the sad news to RadarOnline.com Monday evening, which reports that Dolman passed away at the couple’s home in the Pacific Palisades.
