Christina Applegate is on diaper duty – and she’s loving it! The actress welcomed daughter Sadie Grace with fiance Martyn Lenoble, 41, in January, and since then she has been on a no-holds-barred mission to master parenthood.
“I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it,” she tells People magazine.
And even though she doesn’t feel confident 100 percent of the time, Applegate, 39, said she isn’t letting the minor hiccups get her down.
“Sometimes I stand there going, ‘I’m not doing any of this right!’ And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, ‘Ah, we accomplished this together,’” she says.
The glowing mother couldn’t be happier and credits baby Sadie with truly opening her soul.
“She’s healed me in so many ways,” says Applegate, who underwent a double mastectomy in 2008 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
“I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound,” she says of holding her bundle of joy. “And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day.”
