Heidi Montag is sending a massive mea culpa Jennifer Aniston’s way after falsely accusing the A-list actress of being the reason the D-list reality star couldn’t attend the “Just Go With It” premiere.
Montag initially claimed in an interview with Us Weekly that Aniston had deemed the reality star “too polarizing” to walk the red carpet at the New York premiere Tuesday night, even though she has a cameo in the film.
“I’ve been such a huge Jennifer Aniston fan my entire life, and it’s just really upsetting that she would do this to me,” Montag complained. Aniston’s rep insisted the story isn’t true – and now Montag is admitting that as well.
“I read that Jennifer had banned me from the premiere for being too polarizing, but I know now that it wasn’t true,” she told UsMagazine.com after her original claims spread like wildfire on Thursday.
Though the former “Hills” star, who also admitted this week to wasting a whopping $2 million in her failed attempt to become a music star, claimed “it was all a big misunderstanding,” she went on to give an entirely different excuse for her absence: her dogs.
“I got my invite and I would have loved to be there, but I had to be [in] Los Angeles with my dogs,” Montag explained to Us. “I was honored to be a part of such a great movie, and I apologize to Jennifer and Sony for this big misunderstanding.” source
