Former “Hills” star Lauren Conrad has shed her trademark blond locks in favor of a noticeably darker shade. Conrad, 24, made her first appearance as a brunette Wednesday at CoverGirl’s 50th anniversary party in West Hollywood. According to her stylist, Kristin Ess, Conrad had wanted to change her hair for a while. “It was just time to go for it,” Ess told UsMagazine.com. “We’ve done so many variations of blond in the past, and it’s fun to do something new.”
Ess revealed that Conrad was inspired by the “Brazilian brown” color seen on Jessica Biel and Mila Kunis.
Conrad’s look is composed of a brown base, highlights and a “golden gloss.”
In 2008, she told Us that “there is something so sexy about having long blond hair.”
The reality star will now get to find out if the same is true with her new bronzed ‘do. source
