Jessica Simpson is going to be a “newlywed” once again! The 30-year-old singer is set to wed NFL star Eric Johnson six months after the pair began dating. ”Yes, I am excited to confirm that they are engaged!” her rep told the Daily News.
According to usmagazine.com, Johnson popped the question Thursday, just days after Simpson’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, proposed to Vanessa Minnillo. Not one to miss a photo op, Simpson flashed her sizeable engagement ring during a book signing appearance at Dillard’s in Kansas City on Saturday.
The “Come On Over” singer began dating Johnson in May while he was separated from wife, stylist Keri Johnson. The ex-49ers player reportedly filed for divorced in February. source
