Looks like Miley Cyrus’ parents aren’t the only ones going through a split. The 17-year-old singer and actor Liam Hemsworth have called it quits – again, People.com reports. The two, who began dating after meeting on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009, first ended things in August before quickly reconciling. And it’s entirely possible this breakup won’t last either.
“Their on- and off-again relationship is currently off,” a source told the site. “But you never know with Miley and Liam. They could be back on at some point.” Speculation rose earlier this week that the couple might’ve parted after reports circulated claiming Hemsworth, 20, was seen flirting with a girl in his home country of Australia.
Says a Hemworth source, “There was no drama. The relationship just ran its course. They were good friends first and remain friends.” On Wednesday, People reported that Cyrus “has been upset recently.” And while she’s “not taking any sides” in Billy Ray and Tish’s divorce, “She’s trying to keep everything private while her family works through this.”
But she’ll be in public in a big way on Sunday: Cyrus is set to perform at the MTV European Music Awards.
