Melissa Etheridge is seeking a legal split with her domestic partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels. Etheridge, 49, filed a Petition for Dissolution of Domestic Partnership in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday. In the petition, Etheridge cites the ever-popular irreconcilable differences for the split. Melissa also doesn’t want to pay Michaels spousal support and asked the court not to award it. Why the hell wouldn’t she be required to? She wanted to be married, this is what married couples do. She has your children and has been your partner for over 7 years. Get over yourself Melissa and open up that wallet.
Melissa is requesting joint custody of their 3-year-old children.
