Last year, Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie gave more than $6.4 million to various charities through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the power couple’s 2008 tax return shows that their foundation pulled in $13 million total — and that more than half of that money went to good use all over the world. The charities who reportedly gained the most were Global Health ($2 million), Human Rights Watch ($1 million), and Pitt’s own Hurricane Katrina charity, the Make It Right Foundation ($1 million). A generous $500,000 went to the Armed Services YMCA of the U.S. Army and nearly a million dollars went to projects in their adopted son Maddox’s home country of Cambodia. Pitt even gave back to his hometown: $500,000 to the Springfield, Missouri Public Schools.
